JOB OVERVIEW:

• Job Title: Physician – Hospitalist.
• Job Type: Locum Tenens.
• Location: Moberly, Missouri.
• Service Setting: Inpatient Hospital.
• Coverage Type: Clinical + Call.
• Coverage Period: 07/01/2025 – Ongoing.
• Clinical Shift Schedule: 7a – 7p, 7 days on / 7 days off preferred.
• On-Call Shift Schedule: 7p – 7a (night call coverage).
• Call Type: Beeper.
• Call Ratio: 1:1.

PATIENT INFORMATION:

• Patient Demographics: Adults, Geriatrics.
• Patient Volume/Census: 15–17 patients per day.
• Admissions: Yes.
• Rounding: Included.
• Phone Consults: Yes.
• Case Mix: General Internal Medicine, ICU patients.

FACILITY INFORMATION:

• Number of Beds in Department: 10 ICU beds.
• EMR System: EDIF Medhost.
• Office Equipment Available: TBD.
• Specialty Backup Available: Yes – ED for procedures, Intensivist on-call.
• Support Staff Available: MD/DO standard staffing model.
• Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage.

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE:

• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
• Temporary Privileges Available: Yes – Emergency temp available for clean files.
• Credentialing Timeline: Expedited for clean files.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

• Rate: TBD.
• Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance.

REQUIRED PROCEDURES:

• Intubations.
• Central lines (ED available for backup).
• Vent management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Licenses: Active Missouri (MO) medical license.
• Board: Board Certified in ABIM/ABFM (No ABPS).
• DEA: Active DEA Certification.
• Certifications: ACLS required.
• Experience: ICU and vent management required.

Other Qualifications: 

• Must be comfortable in open ICU settings.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage general adult inpatient population.
• Provide ICU-level care.
• Perform required procedures (intubations, central lines).
• Take overnight call as scheduled.
• Collaborate with hospital staff and intensivist support.
