Position Overview
A leading industrial fabrication and manufacturing organization specializing in advanced modular structures, energy solutions, and specialized systems is seeking a highly experienced and proactive Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Director. This critical leadership role is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all environmental, health, and safety programs and initiatives to ensure regulatory compliance, mitigate risks, and foster a strong safety culture across all operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in EHS leadership within complex industrial environments, particularly those involving heavy fabrication, energy storage systems, or similar high-risk operations.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct regular EHS audits, inspections, and assessments to identify non-compliance, unsafe conditions, and operational risks, implementing corrective actions effectively.
Investigate all incidents, near-misses, and accidents thoroughly to determine root causes and implement effective preventive measures.
Manage worker's compensation claims and collaborate with HR to ensure proper injury management and return-to-work programs.
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, quality, and human resources to integrate EHS considerations into all business processes and projects, particularly new product development and facility modifications.
Monitor and analyze EHS performance metrics, preparing regular reports for senior leadership on compliance status, incident rates, and program effectiveness.
Stay abreast of new EHS regulations, industry trends, and technologies to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of safety and environmental stewardship.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
